About the role:

This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Five Dock Library to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include overseeing library operations, managing staff, ensuring facility maintenance, and providing quality customer service.

Tasks:

Deliver high level customer service in a busy service environment
Monitor and assess library operations
Prioritize workflow and maintenance tasks
Develop and implement outreach activities and library programs
Analyse community needs for collection development
Provide advice and assistance to customers
Maintain statistical information and reporting mechanisms
Participate in service point roster system including evening and weekend shifts

About the person:

Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Studies or related field
Experience in public libraries and collection development
Proficiency in integrated library management systems
Demonstrated supervisory and budgetary skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
Current Class C Driver's License
