Support Workers at Cahoots get involved in all the fun of our camps and programs while making a difference in our participants lives.

Support Workers are an integral part of our camps and programs and are responsible for duty of care, and ensuring all participants have a fun, safe and rewarding camp or program experience.

These roles are focused on service delivery, which is after hours, weekends and during school holidays.

Support workers work directly with our participants, their main responsibilities are:

  • Providing support to participants on overnight camps and day programs to the highest quality adhering to all Cahoots policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Getting involved in activities on camps and day programs, ensuring exceptional experiences for all participants, their needs and goals are considered, and volunteer leaders are engaging appropriately.
  • Providing a high level of personal care of participants including, but not limited to toileting and showering.
  • Prioritise participants' safety, safeguarding, personal needs and goals when delivering all activities.
  • Proactively deescalate potential conflict and behavioural triggers in participants and leaders and to resolve conflict and demonstrate behaviour management skills.


Being a Support Worker at Cahoots is a unique and flexible employment opportunity that can work around another job or study.

Support Workers have the opportunity to progress to Facilitator or other permanent roles in Cahoots.
