An exciting opportunity exists for a clinician with a strong interest in and commitment to Mental Health to join the very experienced and dedicated Acute and Early Intervention Community Mental Health Team at Royal North Shore Community Health Centre.


This permanent full time position is within a team that works from a blended model, providing a mixture of triage.

assessment, acute intervention and care-co-ordination.

The role has a focus on consumers in crisis, requiring early intervention and also on providing short to long-term care -coordination.


The team works within the recovery framework with a range of clinical interventions, such as DBT and CBT, aimed at promoting the individual's well-being, aiding them in their recovery from illness and enhancing their capacity to participate in community life.


The successful applicant will enjoy working autonomously and with a dedicated, dynamic and busy team, learning new skills and honing their expertise whilst providing a quality service to consumers within the local area.

What you'll be doing


To provide nursing and health services as a member of a multi-disciplinary community mental health team which offers triage, assessment, treatment, ongoing case management and discharge planning services to individuals in Northern Sydney Local Health Districts.


_People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply._

  • Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline
  • Psychology, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated, comprehensive mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.
  • Experience working in community mental health and a demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
  • Extensive case management/care coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Current NSW Driver's licence and proficient in working with data systems and computer skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft Office Word software.
