An exciting opportunity to join the Risk and Compliance team as an Incident and Breach Manager. In this key role, you will oversee HUB24's incident management and breach reporting framework.


Your primary responsibilities will include triaging incidents, completing compliance assessments, regulatory reporting/remediation and supporting Line 1 in relation to incidents and breaches.

Liaising with a range of stakeholders, you will also provide expert compliance and regulatory advice to the business.


Key responsibilities:


  • Triaging and completing compliance assessments for all incidents and assessing for potential reporting to regulators.
  • Preparing breach reports to regulators, and assisting with regulator engagement.
  • Preparing notifications to third parties (including the Superannuation Trustee) to ensure HUB24 meets is contractual obligations.
  • Driving closure of incidents, actions and rectification activities and setting closure standards.
  • Helping reduce the risk of occurrence of issues and incidents by working with Line 1 on process improvement and control design and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring compliance with HUB24's risk management framework, including the Incident and Breach Management Policy.
  • Leading the identification of insights, themes, and trends from compliance incidents, including with respect to root causes.
  • Generating insights and reporting on incidents and breaches, performing thematic reviews, and developing recommendations for process and controls uplift.
  • Preparing regular and ad hoc reporting and presentations to management and entitylevel Boards
  • In addition to Incident and Issue Management, you may be called upon to support the broader risk and compliance team in the execution of its function,
  • This would include: Providing advice to business representatives on operational risk management and compliance matters. Analysing and addressing existing and emerging operational issues, including performing targeted projects and risk policies and frameworks. Reviewing new business initiatives ensuring key operational risks are identified and managed and that appropriate stakeholders are engaged in the approval process.

Key requirements:


  • Hold qualifications in either: Law, Finance, Commerce, or similar discipline.
  • Strong experience in the Financial Services sector.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, complaints bodies and relevant regulations.
  • Previous experience in breach submissions and/or regulatory reporting highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Work independently, and highly organise and prioritise tasks with advanced time management and forward planning skills.
  • Deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Intermediate/Advanced MS office (primarily MS outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, & MS Word Skills).
