ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Join an Eastern Suburbs Council as an Assistant Building and Compliance Officer.

Local Government offers 35 hours per week, Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.


ABOUT THE POSITION.


As an Assistant Building and Compliance Officer you will play a pivotal role by liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance is with the relevant legislations of EPA, LGA, SPA, NCC, for all building and residential projects.

You will be required to undertake duties that may be determines from time to time as directed by the Team Leader or Manager.


DUTIES.

  • Support Building & Compliance Officers in accordance with DPS and applicable KPIs
  • Conduct building inspections and safety checks
  • Provide high quality reports which cover all relevant issues

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Enrolled in (or recently completed) a tertiary course to obtain qualifications as a Building Surveyor
  • Understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act (EPA)
  • High level of attention to detail in written works for any Administration that must be completed
  • Current Class C Drivers License
