Our client provides nationally tailored supply chain solutions for the beverage industry across Australia and New Zealand with 'best-in-class' warehouse management and distribution services.

In Australia, they lead the industry, with two out of every three alcoholic serving units handled via their managed network, and deliveries to more than 25,000 outlets nationally.


The RoleResponsibilities**:


  • Coordinate, route, and schedule transportation of goods and services to customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Liaise with drivers and logistics personnel to ensure that all deliveries are scheduled and completed according to the plan
  • Monitor the transportation process to identify potential issues and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, including tracking orders, deliveries, and expenses
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all transportation requirements are met
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that transportation services are aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods and services

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • High school qualification, additional education, or training in logistics or transportation management is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of Melbourne truck routes and highway networks.
  • Proven experience as a transport scheduler or in a similar role
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in using transportation management software and other relevant technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
