The role:


The role of Associate Director is to proactively manage a multi-product portfolio of customer relationships focussing on retention and development of existing and new customer relationships.

You will be required to provide Corporate and Institutional clients with support to meet their working capital finance and international trade needs.

It will be your remit to ensure customer satisfaction is enhanced through relationship management via a planned visitation program, proactive calling and identifying opportunities to improve services and provide customer efficiencies.


Trade and Working Capital:


Trade & Working Capital (TWC) provides a suite of solutions for financing products and services as they move from origin to destination along the supply chain.

The Trade & Working Capital team comprises specialist colleagues that support financing and risk management requests from customers, to assist with their working capital or international trade requirements.


In this role, you'll have the opportunity to manage the following:
On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) delivering for our customers and promote specialist products and services by:

  • Identifying and managing client activities on TWC facilities, instigating the necessary action to mitigate risk in collaboration with internal stakeholders whilst maintaining the overall customer relationship
  • Proactively seeking new business opportunities for TWC and NAB through conversations with clients and their advisers, especially for Platinum and Premier+ clients
  • Monitoring TWC facilities to ensure the client's ongoing needs are met
  • Approval of TWC Products annual reviews and increases, including driving the account management process for the portfolio
  • Identifying risks across the portfolio via client interactions and key risk triggers.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships and provide coaching and support to Senior Associate

What you'll bring:


Ideally, tertiary qualified, with an understanding of International Trade rules and regulations, asset conversion cycles, accounting principles and conventions together with an energetic approach for business development will truly impress.

Your ability to proactively share insights and support growth in capability in TWC products and services will be highly valued.

Prior experience in trade, invoice and receivables financing be viewed most favourably.


You'll be passionate about business development and sales, with a focus on client relationships underpinned by an outcome driven approach.

You bring real presence and insights to thought leadership on how we respond to the changing landscape in trade and transactional solutions, and how we best address our clients' changing needs towards mobile and digital capabilities.

With a commitment to on-going self-development, you will leverage from you tertiary and/or post graduate qualifications to springboard from.
