Davidson have partnered with a dynamic and innovative non-profit organisation committed to assisting low income and/or disadvantages families and single people with Community Housing.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Asset Manager for a 12-week contract.


About the Role

  • Accurately capture property data in Procurement, Asset Condition, Asset Register, Property Status, and Schedule of Rates.
  • Manage property lifecycle data and provide adhoc and KPI reports.
  • Ensure effective procurement aligned with project needs.
  • Evaluate suppliers, manage rates, and oversee contracts.
  • Lead asset refurbishment through planned maintenance.
  • Project manage refurbishments and review variations.
  • Manage and conduct inspections for condition and integrity.
  • Handle operational budgets and financial targets.
  • Promote and implement Asset Management Plan.
  • Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on regulations and attend events.
  • Suggest improvements and contribute to policy development.

About You:


  • At least two (2) years' experience in a Community Housing or similar role
  • Accomplished written and spoken communication, relationship, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of residential construction and building process and systems.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, building compliance and safety standards including fire systems.
  • Significant working knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and practices.
  • Practical awareness of, and experience with current Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior interpersonal skills and the ability to engage, coordinate, and supervise multiple contractors and service providers to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and project delivery with a focus on achieving results on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with proven attention to detail and ability to consider and present viable options from a commercial perspective.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of issues affecting socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with disabilities and people from a nonEnglish speaking background.
