    Description

    Senior Project Officer - Domestic Trade

    Location: Victoria

    Duration: Fixed term until June 30, 2025

    Work Arrangement: Hybrid

    The Senior Project Officer focuses on the administration and development of market access programs for plant industries, emphasizing the use of irradiation for phytosanitary treatment. Responsibilities include collaborating with industry and government agencies, participating in national committees, and supporting response programs. This role also involves working across multiple branches within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project management for planned objectives, risk monitoring, and budget tracking
    • Stakeholder engagement to influence decision-making processes
    • Effective communication through emails, reports, and briefs
    • Knowledge of phytosanitary treatment and market access protocols
    • Qualifications in quality protocol development
