The Operational Excellence Team is part the Performance team in Strategy & Performance in Technology.

This team is a technical function that uses advanced programming languages and AI to automate manual processes in Technology Strategy & Performance.

We are responsible for ensuring that reports and processes in Technology Strategy & Performance run smoothly and with the least amount of manual effort possible.

**Do work that matters

**As Manager Operational Excellence in Technology Performance, you are helping CBA build a better bank: - Assisting the business to identify processes with transformation and / or automation opportunities.

Mapping the current state and future streamlined state of business processes, removing unnecessary touchpoints and manual work wherever possible
Driving transformation projects whilst overseeing organisational change and risk in change
Delivering at pace, with quality through continuous improvement and governance
Uplifting people capabilities in data and analytics through engagement networks and community forums
Building out automation and data control capabilities for Technology processes to make CBA a safer bank

Specifically, you will;

Liaise with teams across Technology, especially Strategy & Performance, to identify transformation and / or automation opportunities
Oversee the development of analytical solutions using SQL and Python to improve data and analytics processes for stakeholders
Develop automated data flows to compile data from various sources such as Excel, GDW (Teradata) and OMNIA (Hadoop)
Present analytical insights to stakeholders up to the General Manager level to streamline processes in a robust manner
Support team members with quality assurance (QA) reviews
Lead transformation and automation projects with analytical and nonanalytical business partners across the department / Business Unit
Design & build continuous improvements that optimise the accuracy and robustness of the data processes
Manage a team of Transformation SMEs, and Python developers to deliver transformation and automation solutions

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

Risk Mindset -All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
Must have proven experience working with SQL to extract data from multiple tables;
Must have proven experience working with Python to develop automation solutions;
Must have proven experience liaising with less analytical stakeholders to solve business problems with data;
Must have experience working in quickpaced analytical environments;
Must have experience with Python and Github;
Experience in influencing Senior Managers with datadriven insights preferred;
Experience with Agile tools and methodologies preferred (such as Github and Confluence);
Knowledge and Experience in Banking (customers, products, systems, processes) preferred;
Tertiary degree in Economics, Commerce or a quantitative degree, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science preferred
