As the Scholarships Project Specialist, you will lead a process and system enhancement to improve the successful outcomes of philanthropically funded scholarships.


This position will undertake a review of the current state around donor scholarships, system enhancements including donor scholarships applicant experience and governance mechanisms, to uncover the opportunities for improvement, and then develop and implement strategies to capitalise on these opportunities and strengths.


Working closely with the Director of Advancement and aligned department including the Scholarships Office and Future Students, you will be an important member of a dedicated team to enable the donor scholarships supports the philanthropy team to meeting the needs of sophisticated and established philanthropists and as an intermediary, advocating for improving the student experience by building university-wide networks, to increase donor funded scholarship success.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience, preferably in a tertiary education environment, with a sound knowledge of appropriate concepts, methodology, and practices.
  • Proven ability and extensive experience in stakeholder management and development and delivery of strategic engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated organisational and project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and reporting to deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Willing team player and contributor to Advancement's objectives, including fundraising.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and planning skills.
