The Resilient Sydney Office is seeking a Project Officer (Strategy) to support delivery of the second Resilient Sydney Strategy and activities of the Resilient Sydney program.

This collaboration program aims to build the capacity and capability of local government and other organisations in Sydney, so the city is better placed to survive, adapt and thrive in the face of acute shock events and chronic stresses.

The program works with a large network of local and international city governments through the global Resilient Cities Network.


The successful applicant will be responsible for coordination of engagement, events, network and database management, project coordination, data collection and analysis, communications as well as monitoring for evaluation and reporting.

This role works with the Strategy and Engagement Manager and team to deliver the development of the second Resilient Sydney strategy.


To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in business, social sciences, resilience or sustainability or equivalent, excellent interpersonal skills, including experience dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders, good written communication skills, with experience coordinating databases, projects, communication materials and engagement events, and the ability to work under pressure in order to meet conflicting deadlines.
