We are seeking a Customer Service/Events Officer to join our team on a temporary two year full-time basis. The role will be based in our new Office of Sport location at Penrith Whitewater Stadium.

About the role


The Events Officer is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and operations of all events staged at an Olympic Sport Venue, under the direction of the Events Coordinator.


The Venues are Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC), Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC), Sydney International Shooting Centre (SISC) also includes Southern Highlands Regional Shooting Complex (SHRSC), Penrith Whitewater Stadium (PWS).


About you

You will have a demonstrated ability to assist in all aspects of event planning, coordination, marketing, and operations. You can deal effectively and professionally with business clients and industry stakeholders whilst managing their expectations and balancing competing priorities. You foster a positive customer experience, and you are technology savvy. You understand Work Health and Safety, visitor safety and risk management issues as well as the proven ability to work both in a team environment and independently will see you succeed in this role.

Pre-screening questions

  • Give an example of where you have had to work with government and nongovernment stakeholders to plan and deliver an event. How did you manage conflicting priorities of stakeholders to ensure the success of the event?
  • Give an example of where you have had to review and clarify contractual requirements with a stakeholder in the lead up to an event. Outline how you undertook this process and the outcomes achieved.
