POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible to Develop maintenance planning strategies, and schedules, coordinates and monitors the maintenance of all plant equipment.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Create and maintain schedules for routine maintenance tasks on food processing equipment, production machinery, and facility infrastructure.
Allocate resources such as skilled labor, spare parts, and tools required for maintenance tasks in the food production environment.
Implement regular inspections of critical equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or disruptions in production.

Ensure that maintenance activities adhere to strict sanitary standards and hygiene requirements, especially in areas directly involved in food processing.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment performance, and any adjustments made during maintenance.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for unexpected equipment failures to minimize downtime and potential impact on food production.
Work closely with venue managers to ensure that maintenance activities do not compromise food safety or product quality.
Stay informed about and ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to food safety, equipment maintenance, and facility management.

Provide training to maintenance personnel on food safety regulations, proper handling of equipment, and the use of specialized tools related to the food industry.

Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability in maintenance practices, aligning with the organizations environmental goals.
Assist in developing and managing maintenance budgets, considering the unique needs and challenges of the food business.
Work with suppliers and vendors to source quality spare parts and equipment components, ensuring compatibility with food processing standards.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of maintenance processes in the food production environment.


Qualifications:
AQF Associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with 2 years full time relevant work experience. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
listed above. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.


Skills:
Technical Knowledge for equipment and systems
Organize and prioritize tasks.
Clear and effective communication with maintenance teams and other stakeholders.
Use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for planning and tracking.


Salary:
$98,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
