You will make a difference by driving appropriate assurance across Insignia Financial, including leading the delivery of targeted 2nd line risk deepdive reviews and supervising more junior team members.

You will make a difference by:
-


  • Responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of 2nd line assurance reviews and activities (including deepdive risk assurance reviews);
  • Manage the delivery of relevant workpapers, reports and other outputs ontime and to a high quality (this includes supervision and coaching of more junior team members);
  • Lead other ad hoc assurance activities as required, which may include (but is not limited to) development of the 2nd line assurance plan, development and maintenance of assurance frameworks and tools, provision of assurance Subject Matter Expert support and insights, and management of internal team strategic initiatives.

A little bit about you:
-


  • Postgraduate studies in Risk, Compliance and/or Finance (well regarded);
  • 5+ years' experience in complex financial services organisations (or other complex regulated industries) or consulting firms;
  • 3+ years' experience in a risk or assurance role;
  • Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management principles, including risks and controls, and the 3 lines of defence model;
  • Awareness of the regulatory system as it applies to complex Australian financial service providers (or other complex regulated industries);
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to display a commercial and pragmatic mindset.
