Alstom's X'Trapolis 2.0 project is seeking the next Production Supervisor to come on board the Ballarat team for production starting in Q3 this year.


As key members of the Production Supervisory team and reporting directly to the Production Manager, this hands-on position will focus on creating a team of 10-15 team members who put emphasis on safety, responsible and process-minded delivery as well as collaboration and communication amongst each other and the broader team.

Duties will include:


  • Prepare detailed daily work plans to achieve SQCD targets in line with Alstom Production System standards / prepare a detailed daily work plan to ensure all work is completed ontime to the required quality standard.
  • Ensure all documentation, engineering and work instructions are correct and the necessary tooling and material kits are available on site
  • Oversee and support the activities, safety and outputs of the team
  • Monitor progress and standard/quality of work completed and lead via visual management
  • Enable team by ensuring all material kits and tooling are available
  • Leading daily Tool box meetings to support delivery and continuous improvement
  • Capability to resource and assist leadership to efficiently organise and supervise employees
  • Produce regular updates and reporting.

You bring to the role:


  • Have the desire and ability to succeed with people leadership of tradespeople/ technical workers
  • Are diligent and detail oriented in safe practices, procedures and maintenance scheduling
  • Face problems with analytical capacity and resilience to devise feasible and timely solutions
  • Hold an Engineering Trade Certification or equivalent qualification and or experience
  • Have had exposure to manufacturing or production environments.
