The Company
Our client is a national civil engineering and environmental services provider. They are looking for a National Waste Lead to be based in Sydney.


The Position
We are in search of a National Waste Lead to lead our client's national waste management team.

With a nation wide reach, we are seeking an ambitious leader to oversee the operations of our client's waste management business and implement expansion strategies.


The Role

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Leading and overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring optimal performance, and resolving any issues raised by Project Leaders.
  • Grasping the scope, scale, risk, and commercial aspects of projects.
  • Maintaining sound financial management of projects within your portfolio, including meticulous tracking of Work in Progress and invoicing.
  • Strategically assigning teams to projects, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the selection of suitable Project Leadership with technical oversight/review.
  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships with key Clients through proactive communication and consistent management.
  • Contributing significantly to the formulation of proposals, particularly regarding scope, methodology, schedule, and risk assessment.
  • Proactively driving business development, client management, project delivery, and recruitment initiatives to execute strategy.
  • Actively coaching, mentoring, and nurturing the professional growth of project staff.
  • Facilitating communication of important business information to the team and fostering regular communications.
  • Spearheading targeted growth strategy, specifically within the Waste Management sector, by pursuing strategic initiatives and fostering industry partnerships.
  • Engineering qualifications.
  • A background in design/consultancy within the waste infrastructure sector.
