We are currently seeking a proactive and results-driven IT Procurement Specialist to join our clients dynamic team.
As part of your role, you will collaborate with an experienced technology team to assist with managing a variety of technology projects in conjunction with oversight and support from the Procurement team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisitions of goods and services.
You will play a crucial role in supporting organisational objectives, while also maintaining a strong focus on compliance and risk management.
Key Duties and Accountabilities:
- Planning and strategy development and sourcing / procurement of services, goods and equipment.
- Development of sourcing strategies, tendering (including conduct of tender clarifications / negotiations and evaluation), drafting of contractual clauses to suit final negotiated positions, drafting of general commercial documentation and facilitation of general commercial / contractual requirements in postaward period.
- Leading contract negotiations, including capturing cost savings, dispute / claim resolution and managing contractor and internal stakeholder relationships
To be successful in this position you should have:
- Extensive experience in Technology Procurement.
- Strong understanding of best practices in endtoend procurement functions.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen skills
- Significant experience leveraging thirdparty partner relationships and governance frameworks to drive material organisationalwide benefits.
- Extensive project and change management skills and understanding of driving continuous improvement and/or leveraging technology to improve productivity.
- Commercial approach to problemsolving and active negotiation of IT contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated competencies in category management including market intelligence, analysis, contract administration and negotiation planning and execution.
- Fundamental knowledge of contract law.
- CIPS Level 5 qualified or equivalent desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline, i.e. Commercial, Supply Chain or Technical is desirable.
- Enterprise and/or Education IT Procurement Experience desirable
