About the role
The Executive Officer provides a range of high-level executive, policy and project, and secretariat services that support NESA's strategic policy and planning integration work plan.
These activities contribute to NESA achieving its policy and planning objectives, including its engagement with external stakeholders and other NSW Government agencies.
The role provides the executive team with professional advice, coordination and support in the preparation of reporting, documents and processes that underpin good governance and formal decision making.
Working with key stakeholders, the incumbent will provide advice and information surrounding policies, briefings and ministerial correspondence, ensuring they in line with organisational priorities.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:
- Research, analyse and review complex policy issues, identifying emerging issues, developing evidence based options, and recommended solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks.
- Prepare, manage and review the provision of high level communications and correspondence including briefings, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy, and timeliness of written information.
- Lead and coordinate the division's planning, governance and administration processes directly related to the Board and Committees, including the coordination of agendasetting and meeting papers, preparation of highquality minutes and policy advice, and support for organised, efficient bestpractice meetings and Chair support.
- Implement, monitor and report on strategic, operational and project plans to inform decision making and support achievement of organisational objectives.
- Act as the Executive point of contact, liaise with stakeholders and action requests to coordinate communication and proactively ensure responses meet deadlines.
- Support capability development and guide division staff to ensure adherence with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver policy priorities and initiatives.
