About the Role:


C&K Caloundra Community Childcare Centre, located in Caloundra is now looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Assistant to join the Centre.

This Traineeship will see you commencing on a 12-month fixed term contract, with a possibility of becoming permanent, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.


At C&K Caloundra Community Child Care Centre, we welcome children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years old and provide care and early learning five days a week from 6:30am to 6:00pm.

We are located off Cooroora Street in Caloundra, opposite the Caloundra Junior Rugby League Club. Our centre is less than 10 minutes from the Caloundra city centre, close to bus stops servicing the area.

Your responsibilities:


  • Share all duties involved in the care and education of the children with other educators
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
  • Prepare materials and activities as required
  • Contribute to, and actively assist in the delivery of the program planned
  • Build meaningful relationships and interactions with children
  • Contribute to each child's C&K learning portfolio
  • Must be willing to complete studies towards your qualification to successfully complete within the timeframe
  • Prior experience within early childhood education would be an advantage
  • Ability to commit to and complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care through the C&K College
  • Ability to work as an effective team member

Applicants who already hold an Early Childhood Qualification will not be able to be considered for a traineeship
