The Opportunity

Due to internal movement, we now have an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Contract & Metro Logistics professional to join Visy Logistics during a period of significant, ongoing growth.

Reporting to the Country Manager Australia and based out of Epping, this is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with superior customer service skills to have a tremendous impact in shaping the future state of this growing division.

The Role

As the General Manager - Metro & Intrastate Operations, you are responsible for the day to day management and forward positioning of all of the Visy Logistics Metro & Intrastate Transport, DC and Warehousing Operations.

Working independently and autonomously, whilst delivering results through collaborative and cross-functional leadership, you will oversee the day to day operations with a hands-on, expert and proactive approach.

Your role is to ensure that all operations are delivering to service, compliance (legal, Contract and organisational), productivity, administration Metro & Intrastate Business to meet the medium and long term sector growth targets of Visy Logistics.

Your background:

Solid prior experience in a similar leadership role with full P&L responsibility
Proven success in transforming national service delivery and operations standard resulting in define "best practice"
Proven KAM including the implementation of a KAM methodology and programme
You possess a continuous improvement mindset with absolute commitment to OHSE and Compliance
You can build strong relationships external and internal as this will be crucial to the success of his role
You are true enabler that can encourage and develop excellence in your people
