About the role


Working within the classroom the role of Education Support Officer is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners and enhances the student learning experience and educative processes.


You will provide support to a diverse range of students, ensuring that the student outcome is at the forefront of your decision making.

You are a customer service, outcomes driven team member who is passionate about education and ready to support TAFE NSW students.

You will not be required to hold a teaching qualification, teach or prepare lessons, or mark assessments.


About You

  • Minimum of Certificate III in Engineering
  • Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining) or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
  • Highlevel interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies

Highly Regarded

  • Prior experience in a student support role and an understanding of the VET sector would be highly regarded.
