About the role

Working within the classroom the role of Education Support Officer is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners and enhances the student learning experience and educative processes.

You will provide support to a diverse range of students, ensuring that the student outcome is at the forefront of your decision making.

You are a customer service, outcomes driven team member who is passionate about education and ready to support TAFE NSW students.

You will not be required to hold a teaching qualification, teach or prepare lessons, or mark assessments.

About You

Minimum of Certificate III in Engineering
Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining) or equivalent.
Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
Highlevel interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies

Highly Regarded

Prior experience in a student support role and an understanding of the VET sector would be highly regarded.
