About You:

We want someone that is kind, polite, courteous, and eager to learn. Someone who genuinely cares about their clients is eager to listen and assist them in realising their full potential.

A genuine desire to offer the highest quality assistance for persons with disabilities, as well as the capacity to create good connections with clients and other stakeholders, is required.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting client with personal care and hygiene maintenance
  • Manual handling including hoist transfers manual, electric / assisted standing
  • Domestic activities and assistance with personal care
  • Medication assistance
  • Assist with meal preparation
  • Provide individual support services and direct care for people with disability
  • Support the client in community participation programs
  • Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
  • Willingness to work with individuals with complex behaviours of concern
  • Maintaining records of client progress

Requirements:


  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Experience with complex behavioral situations
  • The ability to support participants to achieve social and selfcare goals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Certificate III in Individual Supports /Disability Cert IV or equivalent
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Current Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current Australian Driver's License

  • National Police Certificate (preferred)
  • Working with Children Check (required)
  • National Police Certificate Driver License (required)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
