The Company

Located in Brisbane, this large mining services organisation with a global presence, is seeking a talented and experienced Head of Internal Audit.

The company prides itself on its dedicated and experienced staff, with a wealth of expertise and a customer base going back over 50 years.

The Role

This is a strategic and operational role, providing leadership, planning and execution of the audit strategy whilst leading a team.

You will provide the relevant assurance to all the various stakeholders within the business as well as externally.

Specifically you will:
Lead, manage and set performance levels within the Internal audit team.

Collaborate, influence and safeguard both current and future service delivery of the team, ensuring the team operates within the companys risk management framework.

Continually support and strengthen the brand and culture.

You will be a qualified accountant (CA/CPA or CIA/CISA), already with in a proven leadership role, and able to influence and proactively develop relationships and stakeholders at all levels.

Strong communication skills, an ability to lead from the front whilst still developing your team, and able to address any challenging issues in a candid but diplomatic way.

A background in manufacturing, mining /engineering services will be highly regarded but not essential.
