About the role
Exclusive opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our production team. You will be working Monday to Friday 530am - 2pm with regular overtime.

Your role is responsible for providing effective support in the maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:

Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory.
Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: welding (MIG, TIG), Lathe, or fabrication and working with hand tools.
Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents
Occasional travel to our site in Villawood may be required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker Trade Certificate or higher.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
A handson attitude, problemsolving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a supportive team.
