Description:

Purpose


The Program Manager is responsible for monitoring and analysing the overall performance of CoAct's Disability Employment Services program, identifying opportunities for improvement, and addressing risks to ensure the effective delivery of services by Service Partners.

This role is crucial for maintaining CoAct's reputation with the Australian Government, Customers, and other stakeholders, as well as retaining contracts and enhancing revenue.


The Program Manager will work closely with the Business Partners and other team members to inform the development of data-driven and consultative agreed strategies and actions that improve the program and support service partners in their delivery of services.


Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyse and monitor program performance data (all reports) and trends, providing regular reports and insights to the NESM, Business Partners, Intervention Specialists and Operational Support
Prepare and present clear, concise, and visually engaging data presentations to the team at the required schedule, facilitating data-driven discussions and the development of potential strategies
Identify opportunities for service partners to improve their delivery of services and performance, as well as to enhance revenue and resolve problems or declines in performance and revenueActively engage with employers aligned to the skills and experience of the caseload
Collaborate with the Business Partners to develop and implement data-driven strategies and action plans to improve the program
Liaise with other Program Managers to identify multi-program issues and trends that should be addressed in a multi-contract collaborative approach
Manage department relationships, including contract reviews, DES admin requests requiring specialist assistance, Question Centre, department site visits, or actions to be implemented at the request of the department
Manage service partner requests for additional assistance, strategic advice, detailed reporting, or analysis through the ticketing system, working with the Operational Support Officer and Business Partners as needed


Skills and Experiences:

Personal Attributes

  • Data visualization: Proficiency in creating visually engaging and easytounderstand charts, graphs, and infographics using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or advanced Excel features.

Storytelling with data:

The ability to translate complex data into a compelling narrative, highlighting key insights and trends to guide the team's understanding and decision-making.


Presentation skills:

The ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, and to tailor presentations to suit the audience's needs and preferences.


Active listening and facilitation:
The ability to engage the team in meaningful discussions by asking open-ended questions, encouraging input from all members, and summarizing key points and action items


Excellent communication skills:
The ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to a range of audiences.

Required Experience

Experience in managing government contracts, particularly in the context of disability employment services
Knowledge of Australian Disability Employment Services program metrics and levers, as well as the ability to stay informed on contract changes
Proven track record of managing department relationships and communicating contract changes effectively
Experience in budget management and forecasting, with an understanding of how historical performance and other factors can impact the budget process

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

Prior experience in a similar Program Manager role, overseeing program performance and management in a related field or industry
Background in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills
Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, to track performance and generate insights
Knowledge of Australian government procurement processes and experience with contract negotiations
Formal training or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or program management (e.g., PgMP, MSP) methodo
