About your new role:


Working as an integral member of the Information Technology and Communication (ITC) team this position is a "hands-on" ITC Support role providing the first level of support information for Baptistcare Users in regard to technology and communication.


Reporting to the General Manager - Information Technology, the IT Support Officer and Field Technician ensures a high level of customer focus and responsiveness to Baptistcare Users by ensuring a prompt, reliable, and effective service in relation to technology and communication support.


Duties:


  • Provides hardware administration tasks, including:
  • Research and evaluation of hardware options
  • Disposal of hardware
  • Configuration and labelling of goods
  • Security and maintaining stock levels on a monthly basis
  • Packaging of goods for delivery to remote sites
  • Raises support issues and makes improvement suggestions
  • Takes ownership of support jobs and provide a timely resolution. Escalates support requests that cannot be completed within agreed timelines or are beyond capabilities
  • Liaise with ITC service providers regarding technical and operational network issues including tablets and phones
  • Attends and contributes at weekly communication meetings and regular strategy meetings
  • Maintains and supports fixed and mobile technology allocated to local and remote employees

Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in ITC/Computer science or similar
  • At least 2 years' experience in an ITC Support related role including experience with Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Active Directory
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check
  • Willingness to obtain or provide proof of Influenza & Covid19 Vaccination
  • Willingness to undergo a preemployment medical
