The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Education Projects Officer to join the Education and Training Department.


Reporting to the Senior Manager of Training, Development and Assessments, this position is responsible for administration and high-level support for multiple key education projects, including but not limited to, the Supervisor Resources Project and Entrustable Professional Activities Review, and any other Education & Training project implementation, with an oversight of committees/working groups and stakeholder relationships in reference to the projects.


This role has a specific focus to:

  • Develop and implement project outcomes, progress reports and supporting activities in consultation with the Senior Manager, Training Development and Assessment, and Education Projects Advisor.
  • Consult and liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and provide support to the Fellows or committees involved in the development.
  • Seek and/or undertake data gathering and analysis as required for the identified projects.
  • Ensure that outcomes, project deliverables and reporting requirements meet the timelines and adhere to budget.
  • Development and adherence to a communication strategy for each project, with the ability to prioritise and advise on any changes or risks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in training and development, education, healthcare, or research background and/or demonstrated experience in project administration with experience in planning, analysis, implementation, project management, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Competence with the MS Office suite and database software and understanding of videoconference technologies.
  • Welldeveloped and demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in multidisciplinary settings, including evidence of clear and concise writing for a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge or understanding of medical education, regulatory agencies and/or Australasian health system context is highly desirable.
