Job Description:


Our Goulburn team is becoming more popular, so much so that we need an extra team member to meet the needs of our growing number of clients and their families This role entails providing therapy to a range of clients (children and adults) under the supervision of our Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology team members to ensure our clients keep working towards achieving their individual goals.


  • You will also be:_
  • Providing sessions for clients and families in our clinic, at their homes, preschools, schools or in the community to help your clients in the environments that matter to them
  • Making clinical resources for clients to help them to work on their goals at home, at school or in the community
  • Liaising with other members of your client's team such as family members, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Teachers, Speech Pathologists and Psychologists
  • Helping our Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Key Workers run therapy groups or prepare for therapy sessions as needed, and
  • Supporting the team with other tasks as required.

About you

  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector and helping make a difference
  • Experience delivering therapy programs as an Allied Health Assistant, OR administration experience in a health and / or medical setting highly regarded (but not essential)
  • Confident in the use of the MS Office suite of programs
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Capacity to work autonomously, as well as within a team environment
  • Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle

Qualifications:


  • Completion of a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance majoring in speech pathology or occupational therapy, OR currently studying the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree in speech pathology or occupational therapy, or the final year of a masters degree in speech pathology or occupational therapy, OR currently studying the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree, or final year of a masters degree, in early childhood education/teaching or special education
