Technical Specialist - Infrastructure

Permanent full-time position

Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free each year, plus $2650 meal & entertainment card

The Role


The Technical Specialist - Infrastructure provides technical support for the Cabrini Infrastructure portfolio which spans clinical, administration, and corporate systems.

The availability and quality of the systems is critical to patient safety and care, and the efficient and effective operation of Cabrini.


In the role you will be a primary escalation point for technical infrastructure issues, managing technical design, configuration, testing, implementation, and technical support of secure, reliable, scalable, and fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure stacks, that achieve business outcomes considering technology strategy.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate as a trusted advisor throughout technology and the broader organisation providing solutions advice relating to technology infrastructure.
  • Influence decision making and investment priorities toward the agreed future state architecture.
  • Encourage and instil a culture of patient first across technology, understanding of goals and where value can be added.
  • Actively reflect on daytoday activities, looking for continuous improvement opportunities across people, process, and tools.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with stakeholders, including those within IT, across the organisation, and external suppliers, based on trust and delivering to expectations.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with peers across Technology.
About you


You will be a motivated individual with a minimum of five (5) years of infrastructure experience as a Technical Specialist.


You will also have the ability to build relationships with a range of other IT team members, health professionals and health service staff, sound written and verbal communication skills, past experience and proven ability to interact with medical and nursing staff.


You will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure Backup Technologies
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and later.
  • Microsoft Active Directory (Forest/Domain, Security, Group Policy, Health Monitoring, ADFS).
  • PowerShell.
  • Automation Technologies.
  • Multi Factor Authentication Technologies.
  • Microsoft SCCM, Application Packaging and Deployment.
  • Network Services: VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS.
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and later.
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration and Office365.
