Description

The Trades and Engineering Technology Department is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced teachers to meet expected further growth in 2024 and beyond.


In this role you will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals and will plan, deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs.

The units that you will deliver are from our current Construction Training Package CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry and our VET in Secondary Schools program.

The requirement is to predominantly carry out teaching and assessment duties within these programs.

Salary offered will depend on the successful applicant's skills and current qualification level. Certificates IV's start from $76,108 whilst Diploma's start from $89,512.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes, reflecting an understanding of successful approaches to carpentry teaching
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement, and develop high quality teaching and assessment materials
  • Builds constructive relationships with colleagues and generates ideas for improvements which includes demonstrating high level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring and student experience.
  • Current practical experience (currency) within the carpentry industry

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE4011
  • Certificate III in Carpentry
