Organisational Profile

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst and working in close partnership with various stakeholders across the reporting and data analysis team, the Data & Finance Support Analyst is responsible for the coordination and production of timely and accurate reporting, maintaining accurate financials and driving process improvements in the Finance team.

Other duties will include (but are not limited to) budgeting support, creation and maintenance of process and procedures documentation, and helping maintain core Finance system maintenance and integrity.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:

Advises on the analysis and interpretation of data, identify trends and test solutions, sources additional related information where appropriate, and reports on progress, to support the resolution of issues/problems.
Acts as an escalation point and provides advice on technical or specialist enquiries.
Provide key financial support to the Strategic Finance Business Partners on key financial, forecasting, system and planning processes,
Contribute to the provision of high quality, efficient and accurate financial assistance and information to internal and external parties as required on a prompt and consistent basis.
In accordance with company financial policy and procedures, regulations, accounting standards requirements: Provide first level advice, take corrective action where necessary and escalate key financial matters to senior management
Undertake finance activities such as the timely and accurate preparation of:
Periodical and ad-hoc financial and management reports
Budget and forecast reporting and analysis
Revenue and expense data collection and analysis
Preparation of financial analysis and compliance checks
Existing finance systems maintenance and testing
New finance system and business process design and testing
