Role


This Workplace Program Manager role is a direct client facing role, focused on delivering end to end client satisfaction through ensuring the required operational outcomes across our client's corporate portfolios are met.

They are responsible for implementing innovative ideas to streamline processes and reduce costs.

This role works closely with the Operations Director ensuring active leadership of BGIS staff wellbeing and ongoing development of the team delivering high staff engagement and retention rates.


This role is only open to Australian Citizens, due to the security clearances required.**
The role includes:
  • Direct liaison to Clients Workplace Team representative/s
  • Work with Clients Workplace Team to finalise their workplace strategy for implementation and enhance as appropriate guided by current and emerging workplace trends (as relevant) as well as Client's data and stakeholder requirements
  • Work with Clients Workplace Team in developing a roadmap for the Program including developing and agreeing scopes, sequencing, scheduling, (including identifying early works), categorising, setting milestones, procurement planning and overall governance of the Program including individual project governance
  • Work with Clients Workplace Team to develop and implement change management and communications plans. This is likely to include working with client to develop a stakeholder consultation plan to feed into the roadmap for the Program referred to above
  • Work with Clients Workplace Team to develop the scope and plan for asset condition and accessibility assessment of office locations as may be required and once finalised oversee this project
  • Develop a process for works approval and act on approved works in accordance with delegation to be agreed. This is likely to include engaging delivery partners for individual projects and providing the individual project governance and reporting to Clients Workplace Team satisfaction
  • Align with Clients Workplace Team operational requirements and assist with business cases as required
  • Oversee the Workplace Solutions Team, set KPIs and ensure each team member delivers to these KPIs and agreed scopes
  • Manage and report on budgets to be agreed with Clients Workplace Team
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare, seek approval for and manage Programs
  • Drive delivery of approved program including internal and external stakeholder management to obtain approvals, manage risks and resolve issues
  • Works and services are completed in accordance with specified project time, quality and budget
  • Customer advocacy through exceptional service
  • Active management of employees and subcontractors through effective leadership and communication
  • Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS business systems
  • HSEQ policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

To be considered you will have:

  • Strong demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects or Capex programs, specifically relating to workplace
  • Strong demonstrated commercial construction experience, specifically relating to workplace
  • Strong demonstrated experience in relationship management with external clients and contractors with strong diplomacy, contract management with a focus on identifying and building key client relationships, specifically relating to workplace
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and highlevel financial knowledge and skills
  • Experience in the management of WHS for construction sites (refurbishments/fit outs/new construction), specifically relating to workplace
  • Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, WH&S and environmental systems, specifically relating to workplace
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in WHS or extensive project management experience
  • Holds a current General Induction for the Construction Industry card, and
  • Graduate Diploma of Project Management or
  • Trade Certificate in relevant discipline such as drafting, building and construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC mechanic, mechanical engineering technician; or
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline such as Architecture, Building/Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
