Job Description Summary:

As the Service Sales Manager, you will be responsible for taking the lead in winning service sales opportunities in their assigned territory by building and conveying compelling Service Contract value propositions to maximise contract capture.

This role will work closely with the equipment sales team to win future install base and drive equipment lifecycle upgrade opportunities.


To be successful in this role, the incumbent will need to develop strong relationships with departmental and technical decision makers in their assigned accounts, and where applicable work with the equipment sales team to gain access to customer decision makers.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for achieving Operating Plan targets for service revenue and profit margin and equipment orders and sales in defined territory.
  • Ensuring pricing compliance for opportunities to maximise business profit.
  • Accurately forecast orders and sales within Salesforce through management of opportunities.
  • Create business plans for territory/assigned accounts including, but not limited to opportunity development, competitive strategies and targets.
  • Build strong business relationships and formulate account strategies and plans together with equipment team colleagues to continuously strengthen relationships within the assigned accounts/ territory.
  • Maintain customer records, profiles and all interactions with customers in GEHC's CRM tools.
  • Track and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data, and develop and lead effective counterstrategies.
  • Present customer business reviews and supplier performance reviews which may include reporting and presenting performance data.
  • Maintain compliance with training to ensure product, customer and market knowledge remains current.
  • Actively collaborate and work with the product team to ensure customer satisfaction and commercial success.
  • Understand the customers business and technical problems and develop creative, innovative solutions and product configurations to solve them.
  • Identify and create new opportunities and work with sales leaders and account teams (where applicable) to continuously increase prospect funnel for system upgrades.
  • Create and maintain opportunities in the applicable territory to ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Where appropriate, ownership of order and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy and configuration integrity.

Required Qualifications:


  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, product management or related field of study, preferably in the Imaging field with a minimum of 35 years experience in a marketing, commercial, product management or operations/clinical role
  • Strong business acumen and domain expertise in imaging/radiology market dynamics and ANZ macro environment
  • Commercial, marketing or operations experience in managing product portfolio or segment or region
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, influencing skills with the ability to communicate with employees and customers at all levels
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A calm and analytical approach to problemsolving (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to drive results and achieve goals
  • Proven and progressive previous experience in sales/services/promotion to Csuite and technical decision makers e.g. CEOs, Strategic Planning Directors, Facilities/Estates managers, Biomedical Engineers, nursing staff, medical specialty staff (Anesthesiology, Radiology, Intensive care, Nuclear Physicists etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good command of English Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent negotiation & closing skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Able to travel and work flexibly when required
  • Valid motor vehicle license.
