Our client has a passion for delivering D&C New Build Commercial and Industrial, Fit out and Refurbishment projects up and down the East Coast of Australia.

Projects range in scope and size with project values from $250k through to $30m.

Based in the inner northern Brisbane suburbs, their focus is on de-risking their customers projects as well as offering experience and smarts that deliver efficiencies through design and delivery.

The Role

This is a rare an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Management team in the newly created position on Contracts Manager.

The main areas of responsibility include;

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for providing leadership and mentoring to the team of CA's (3 and growing to 6) across the QLD cost centre.
You will provide high level contractual advice to the project teams with a balance of mitigating risk without completely eradicating the chance of commercial gain.
You will be and expert user of CHEOPS (or similar) and be willing to jump into project specific commercial detail as and when required.
You will be a leader in the Cost reporting process and provide solutions to issues as well as identifying opportunities for commercial gain.

About you

You will have 10 years + as a Contract Administrator/Senior Contracts Administrator in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 Commercial Contractor.
You will be passionate about developing your team and come with extensive experience mentoring Graduates and Junior CA's
You will have no ego, be a true team player and be willing to help the business with whatever is required.
You will demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen. You will understand the value in relationships and still know how to make a buck.
