Transport & Infrastructure:


Our Transport and Infrastructure team leverages the latest technology and a culture of innovation across the planning, design, and management disciplines to deliver connectivity, mobility, and resiliency to Australian communities.


Our recent projects include:


M6 Stage 1 Design & Construct, M12 West Detail Design, M12 Elizabeth Drive Connection Detail Design, Milton Ulladulla Bypass Concept Design, Southern Link Road Concept Design & Appin Road Safety Improvements Detail Design.


What you'll do:


  • Managing multidisciplinary design teams in the delivery of road infrastructure projects
  • Managing the SiD (Safety in Design) and quality aspects of the design to ensure a successful project
  • Mentoring and providing leadership, direction, and support to the design team
  • Driving a culture of collaboration, innovation, and future ready solutions
  • Managing internal and external design interfaces
  • Identification, justification, and quantification of technical, quality and assurance implications of change
  • Determination and implementation of design management controls, including data and digital engineering strategy
  • Monitoring performance of the project team to meet Client outcomes, delivering tangible benefits, and internal reporting on profitability and other metrics
  • Forming and maintaining positive relationships with our Clients
  • Contributing to business development by managing proposals

About you:


  • Relevant years' experience in managing the design of Roads and Highways projects for Transport for New South Wales at Associate
  • Proven track record of experience in a Design Management role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering


  • Chartered Professional Engineer

  • CPEng
  • ProjectWise working knowledge
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience making presentations to our clear clients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

Principal Design Manager and NSW Design Management Team Lead.


Tommy is a Chartered Engineer with a varied background delivering international infrastructure projects with Design Consultancies as well as site roles for Tier 1 contractors.

He is the NSW Design Management Team Lead and will be responsible for line management and mentorship of the successful applicant.
