The Position

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting team at Sydney zoo in the new role of Event Operations Manager, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about.

This role will commence as soon as possible.

The Event Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, management, implementation, and successful delivery of event operations for the yearly Events calendar.

Supporting the Senior Events Manager, the Event Operations Manager oversees the management of suppliers and contractors to effectively plan, organise and deliver events on time and within budget.

Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification(s) and/or significant experience in large scale event production and operations management of outdoor major events and festivals.
Excellent communication skills, including experience in collaborating and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders for favourable outcomes.
Highly developed and proven time management skills, ability to effectively prioritise, meet deadlines and to balance competing priorities in a dynamic and highprofile work environment.
Highlevel computer literacy skills, proficient with MS Office Suite.
Experience in specialist software such as Vectorworks favourable.
Ability to successfully manage a team of contractors to deliver an established plan on time and budget.
