The role of the Maintenance Specialist, Drills is to provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to meet the objectives of the AMS Motheo maintenance department.

• Sandvik experience a MUST
• Minimum 5 years post trade experience.
• Expat experience working in Africa a MUST.
• Trades certificate qualification in heavy duty equipment or its equivalent
• Track record in heavy earth moving equipment maintenance
• Sandvik DPI1500i & DI650i
• Experience on DRA Rock Commander would be advantageous but not critical as there is only limited number of these rigs working.
• Ensure AMS drill fleet repairs are completed safely and to the highest possible standard.
• Provide diagnostic capabilities to enable efficient troubleshooting of drill fleet problems.
• Work with AMS Maintenance Planning department to effectively plan and schedule servicing, minor repairs and major stoppages to maximize available downtime.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to national staff daily with the aim of upskilling and improving drill team performance.
• Work with OEMs on the identification and resolution of product problems.
• Work with maintenance manager and sectional supervisor to establish job priorities for the drill team.
• Involvement in both long term and shortterm decisions to ensure that short term, long term, backlogs and defect repairs of drill fleet are carried out appropriately.
