We have an opportunity within our Retail Ready Manufacturing business for an experienced Business Analyst to join our finance team on a permanent basis.

Retail Ready is a meat processing facility in NSW. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to establish a career pathway in finance at Coles.


About the role:

You will provide financial analyst support to our onsite manufacturing finance team.

Working closley with site leadership you will use your experience in manufacturing to make an impact to the dail operations.

You will also

  • Represent the Finance team in providing accurate and timely costings for new product development and maintaining the standard costing for RROA product profile
  • Responsible for providing insightful analysis and critical highlights of weekly operational performance and communicating to the wider operations team, including labour costs, raw material usage, yield and other KPIs
  • Develop complex financial models, reports, and tools to assist in variance analysis and assess scenarios to support business decisions
  • Assist in preparing annual budget and periodic rolling forecast, quarterend estimate, and fixed overhead planning & analysis
  • Manage the RROA master data process and ensure all systems are updated in time for production
  • Manage the COGS Out process and provide support for the crossfunctional teams to validate their proposals and provide weekly/ monthly Analytics
  • Provide analytics for business cases on CAPEX.
  • Act as 2IC to the Finance Business Manager in leading the commercial finance team at the site

About you and your skills:You are highly motivated and self-driven. Focused on driving through results to a conclusion and engaging with the business to ensure delivery. Passionate about solving the business' performance-related issues.

You will have the following skills & experience:

  • Experience of navigating complex problems and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and experience managing multiple data sources effectively
  • Experience of presenting financial information in a clear and concise way which focuses on drawing out insight
  • Experience of a manufacturing accountant or cost accountant role beneficial
  • Advanced Excel/analytical skills to support indepth modelling of performance using available tools
  • Builds relationships effectively with key stakeholders to become a trusted business partner
