The Product Manager - Data is responsible for ensuring data provision is optimised to meet the delivery of the Clientsproducts, and to ensure the data strategy is aligned to the broader strategic direction.


This role requires an ability to build relationships with vendors, to understand business needs and to ensure the data strategy is aligned with those needs, and to support broader business objectives including increasing productivity, profitability and market share.

A core part of this role is ensuring that the business understands the data captured and used across the different parts of the business as well as managing that data with respect to contractual obligations and business needs.


The primarily responsibility is ensuring our Client has access to the most relevant data available in the market, from the most appropriate source, and that vendor agreements are managed and maintained.


Specific deliverables for this role will include;

  • Managing vendors engaged in the provision of data to
  • Developing and maintaining a data strategy
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive "data map" outlining each data point including source, utilisation, contractual rights and retention parameters
  • Ensuring an appropriate data quality control framework is developed and maintained over the data
  • Supporting the development of a centralised data hub, including identifying more timely and cost effective means of sourcing the data captured

Your skills and experience:


  • Previous experience working with the financial services / wealth management industry
  • Understanding of DMBOK
  • Exposure to different data vendor solutions, and understanding of how data is used in the industry
  • Experience in managing data vendor relationships and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering change management initiatives and process improvements
  • Ability to work as part of a closeknit team, as well as autonomously, whilst taking responsibility for meeting personal and team objectives
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills meet deadlines and coordinate and juggle various tasks at a time (and reprioritise as new tasks come to hand)
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills to enable liaising with external clients and vendors with the ability to effectively handle queries and concerns
