    Description

    Australia's largest Virtual Power Plant operator is looking to hire a National Sales Director to lead the sales team and drive sales growth through the development and implementation of strategic sales initiatives.

    This role will play a key role in expanding market presence across Australia, cultivating relationships with partners, seeking new opportunities and achieving sales targets in alignment with the company's objectives.

    ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve contract targets.
    Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize performance and productivity.
    Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, commercial property owners, and government agencies.

    Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform sales strategies and product offerings.

    Manage the sales pipeline, including open deals, site visits and conversion to contracts to ensure timely and successful closure of sales deals.

    Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.

    Monitor and analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous sales performance improvements.

    Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

    RequirementsDegree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).Proven track record of success in solar sales or related industry, with significant experience in sales and a demonstrable track record in a sales leadership role.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and coach a high-performing sales team.
    Ability to work autonomously to drive results and actively provide feedback on how the company can improve results.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with partners, customers and stakeholders.
    Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
    Deep understanding of the solar energy market, industry trends, and regulatory landscape in Australia.
    Ability to travel as needed to meet with partners, stakeholders, potential customers, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.
