About the Role

Reporting to the HSP Sr Manager Practice, Woman and Youth, the Manager - Practice Improvement will be responsible for program performance improvement through providing direction, advice, coaching and mentoring to direct reports and Team Leaders.

The role will oversee support to HSP team through direct input and support to Team Leaders on recruitment, onboarding, training and performance improvement/management of staff.

The role will contribute to the development, review and implementation of HSP Policies, Procedures and processes with a focus on case management (including intermediate deliverables and foundation settlement Services) service provision.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Followup on client complaints and feedback, including NPS survey feedback, desktop review & client contact feedback from the funding body, formal and exit review and client satisfaction survey.
  • Specialist advice and support to team leaders and staff working on managing DFV and complex cases including working with LGBTIQA+ clients
  • Contribute content for policy and process improvement in relation to improving outcomes of client complaints and feedback
  • Work collaboratively with other managers in the Program, to drive a culture of continuous improvement, by ensuring analysis of quality of service across all deliverables using evidencebased approach, and performance improvement strategies, action plans are developed and implemented across the Program, in consultation with the line manager.
  • Provide leadership in identifying gaps in services in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and propose strategies to address these
  • Ensure compliance with specified service delivery targets including KPI, record keeping and budgetary parameters and approval of items within delegation.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Psychological Services or equivalent tertiary qualification including 35 year experience working with CALD communities in settlement service delivery space
  • High level of written and spoken English skills
  • Experience delivering and/or overseeing delivery of case management to newly arrived humanitarian entrants
  • Proved experience monitoring and reporting on program performance and progress
  • Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills
