Our Health & Safety Advisor role is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in transforming the Work Health & Safety (WHS) strategy for this one-of-a-kind, Australian owned multi-utility company.

In this role, you will be working on building and maintaining our safety and wellbeing culture, ensuring people know what safe behaviour looks like, how it applies to them and what they need to do in the event of a safety incident.

This opportunity provides you with exposure across a variety of H&S risk profiles including recycled and drinking water operating plants, asset management, embedded electrical sites and hybrid working offices.

We operate in two states, from three different offices as well as multiple water and electrical sites.

No two days, perhaps even no two hours, will be the same, we'll keep you busy and engaged, and in return, we'll work with you, championing you and providing you with the tools so you can be the best version of you.

About you

We're looking for someone who is willing to execute a wide range of responsibilities whilst having both the written and verbal communication skills to engage our people, sharing your obsession with safety and make it theirs too.

You will have;
-
Qualifications in Health and Safety or related discipline such as health or behavioural science is essential; and/or equivalent level of experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a work health and safety role preferable:

-
Experience in providing advice and writing health and safety reports:

Experience in working with multiple sites and stakeholder groups with competing priorities and timeframes:

-
Proven experience in writing reports, analysing data and communicating findings:

Advanced ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders (including senior executives such as the CEO).

What you'll do

You'll provide assistance and guidance to our employees and our leadership team on a variety of safety management plans and policies, programs and practices. You'll perform and manage safety incident related reporting and investigations, conduct safety audits, training, as well as advise the business on relevant safety, OH&S and WHS regulatory obligations.

You'll also have the ability to influence the company and the leadership teams, building a personal brand of authority and excellence in your area of expertise.
