Job Summary


A successful NetApp Account Technology Specialist (ATS) works collaboratively as part of a virtual sales team to design solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements.

This role has a broad scope of responsibility and requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy.

Job Requirements

Customer Obsession

  • Make the customers business objectives at the heart of everything you do. Be an expert on the customers business strategy and understand how NetApp's solutions can help with the customer's journey
  • Lead efforts to develop new customer relationships outside of NetApp's traditional buying centers
  • Own, manage and develop key customer technical relationships including at the executive level
  • Proactively advocate for your customer with NetApp Product Management and engineering so that their requirements are met by NetApp solutions
Team Selling

  • Orchestrating virtual specialist technical teams to work on customer opportunities while holding them accountable
  • Lead the technical delivery by motivating and inspiring all resources involved in delivering the customer's success
  • Display the ability to trust your teammates by allowing technical specialists to manage opportunities within your account
  • Work collaboratively with your virtual sales team to develop a Technical Account Plan that aligns with customers business strategy
  • Focus specialist technical teams onto opportunities that will increase NetApp's footprint in the account
Technical Curiosity

  • Challenge the mindset of customers, and NetApp Sales teams by bringing innovative ideas that showcase NetApp's unique value
  • Differentiate yourself, by being both an industry and technical specialist
  • Understand not only current technology but future technology trends that will impact your customer
  • Working architectural knowledge of the entire NetApp portfolio to effectively map NetApp product/solutions to customer business problems.
Education

  • 12 years and above of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Experience which demonstrates a strong level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required.
  • Good understanding of cloud and onpremises datacentre concepts and competitive positioning knowledge is essential and conveyed with strong presentation skills.
