Description

Specialising in product sourcing and product development for small household electrical appliances, my client is one of Australia's largest electrical appliance importers, with a large portfolio of electrical lifestyle brands and products.

About you:

Strong experience gained in the electrical appliance field.
Qualifications as an Engineer or an Associate Diploma.
A full understanding of electrical systems, components, schematics, electrical safety, etc.
Experience with ISO9000, ISO9001, ISO900
An indepth understanding of AU/NZ EMC standards.
Experienced in dealing with suppliers and labs based in China.
Proven experience in small electrical appliance design and manufacturing processes.

What you will be doing:

Assess new electrical products for safety, function, design, structure, etc.
Collecting and compiling technical documentation safety testing, compliance folders, supplier CA plans, etc.
Ensuring products conform to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Working closely with other members of the team.
Working closely with external Electrical Safety Testing labs and local

Australian Certification offices.

Investigating matters such as customer issues & product failures.
Liaising between electrical Safety testing labs, manufacturers, certification office, state regulators, etc.
