THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary:
$ $88.60 p/h + 11% super

Location:
Chadstone, Moorabbin & North Melbourne campuses.

WWCC:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check.

Police Check:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check. (if applicable)


Position Status:
Casual


The Faculty of Building, Construction Design, and Electrotechnology provide a progressive, innovative, and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links.

The department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to effectively teach practical sessions, to students in First Aid across Carpentry, Electrical, and Plumbing courses.


The core duties of the First Aid Teacher will be to deliver the course, mark and assess, accurately monitor attendance, communicate with multiple Education managers across the Faculty of Building, Construction Design, and Electrotechnology departments, and monitoring learning supplies.


Qualifications

  • Hold a
    HLTAID012
  • Provide First Aid or
    HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
    AND:
  • Hold or be willing to undertake a
    UETDRMP007
  • Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
    AND:
-
TAE40122- Training and Assessment Certificate or its predecessors


About You

  • Teaching experience in an educational setting.
  • Ability to convey knowledge, skills, and experience to a diverse student population through the selection and use of a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
