Hospitality Industry Insurance - Our Specialised Insurer
This is an exciting opportunity to work with EML's only Specialised Insurance business, Hospitality Industry Insurance. We provide industry specific workers compensation insurance to accommodation hotels, pubs, and clubs.


Customer service has been a long-standing pillar in our approach and most of our case managers are allied health professionals who are passionate about helping people get their lives back.

We provide end to end case management and each policy holder has a dedicated case manager. This enables us to develop strong collaborative relationships with our policy holders to enable great outcomes for all involved.

Reporting to the Group Manager, the main purpose of this role is to lead a worker's compensation claims team to achieve outcomes and oversee the day-to-day work activities and ongoing development of the team.


This will be a
Permanent position
commencing Immediately based in the
Sydney CBD office, with flexibility to work from home.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coach, guide and manage the performance of all team members, facilitating continuous improvement and individual development
  • Lead, empower and motive team members to achieve performance and KRA targets to facilitate continuous improvement in RTW and customer outcomes
  • Facilitate, lead, and encourage training and development in accordance with EML philosophy
  • Monitor, evaluate and review staff workloads, and conduct both formal and informal performance appraisals for all team members.
  • Effectively manage team resources and priorities
  • Clarifying and managing key stakeholder expectation and allocating appropriate resources to ensure the delivery of effective outcomes.
  • Implement business strategies that drive outcomes and facilitate achievement set goals and targets
  • Develop teamwork within own department and across the organisation
  • Resolve disputes, complaints, and escalations effectively

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and coaching individual and/or a team to achieve desired results
  • Demonstrated experience in building effective and professional client relationships
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop and implement strategies that lead to successful resolution
  • Have demonstrated experience and a passion for building and maintaining effective and successful business relationships with clients, including addressing and resolving any issues/concerns as they arise
  • Excellent knowledge of injury management, premium calculation and cost of claims
  • Sound understanding of the relevant NSW Workers Compensation legislation and Specialised insurer requirements.
  • Qualification aligned to Business, Commerce, Personal Injury Management or Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology or Exercise Sciences) advantageous.
