Your day as an Associate Director, Strategic Planning, Performance and Advice**You will play a key role in strategic business planning and performance reporting for NSW Treasury and its associated government agencies and take a leadership role in the delivery of a range of Finance and Operations key strategic priorities and projects.


More specifically, a key aspect of the role is the stewardship of Treasury's strategic business planning function, incorporating Treasury's Outcomes and Business Plan, and the performance monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the business plan deliverables.


You will develop strong stakeholder engagement, within Treasury and with other government agencies, to improve the quality and performance of public sector financial management and capability.


This role liaises extensively with other areas within Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders.


Achieve success as an Associate Director, Strategic Planning, Performance and Advice**In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • demonstrated excellence in budgeting, monitoring and reporting and financial trend analysis
- sound understanding of public sector financial management practices, policies and governing legislation
- excellent research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- demonstrated experience in financial analysis and modelling
- tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, or other relevant areas and holding professional accounting membership or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- ability to build networks and strong engagement with colleagues and
