Overview

Provide employees with the required knowledge and skillset for the Passenger Services Operations, as well as supporting employees' development. Responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering all training programs. Additionally dependable for supporting other stations within the region within their scope of work when required.


Main accountabilities include:

  • Delivers group and individual instruction and training, covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas related to the business.
  • Proven wealth of experience in operational training and systems.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and deliver regional (all stations) training for airline products and systems as required
  • Ensure station (or region) operational training is compliant and performing against training metrics in line with Menzies global standards, our airline customers, and national and international controlling authorities.
  • Coordinate and conduct induction training for new employees, emphasising safety, security, work health and safety, customer service standards, checkin requirements and all CSO functional requirements.
  • Ensure Learning Management Systems (LMS) updates are coordinated, communicated, and delivered.
  • Provide support, set standards and the framework for our operational training, and assist Operations Managers in planning, recruitment, Inductions and ensuring compliance is maintained in and at stations where required.
  • Perform staff assessments, performance appraisal and counselling where required in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Have oversight of local training, including coordinating and delivering of all mandatory/specialist training programs.
  • Be the Training Specialist for local station delivering new Lead Programs/Courses as set out by UK HQ.
  • Handle administrative projects and tasks as directed by Senior Management.
  • Ensure that trainees are motivated through effective teaching techniques.
  • To control and coordinate recordkeeping of all training data & recertification dates, ensuring that staff maintain validity of certification & compliance standards are met.
  • Conduct airline specific training as required.
  • Responsible for overseeing assessments & performance standards, production & update of training manuals / materials / training courses & programs.
  • Always ensuring safe and consistent delivery of the Menzies Product.
  • Assist in the evaluation of staff progress, performance & development and the compilation of performance statistics whilst identifying staff training requirements.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture within the workforce, driving OH&S & security awareness & compliance.
  • To control & coordinate company quality assurance documentation, including the compilation & writing of if required, and to undertake
  • Undertake other operational and general duties in accordance with the requirements of the business.
  • Ensure regular and effective communication with internal and external customers (including other station management).
  • Ensure compliance with Menzies Aviation, Sydney Airport Corporation Limited, Civil Aviation Safety Authority and other regulatory bodies' policies and procedures.
  • Undertake in other operational and general duties, including relief postings at regional stations
  • Work down as required

  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.


An employee who impedes the implementation of a safe and healthy system of work or puts themselves or others at risk by not following health and safety procedures or by engaging in horseplay, will face serious disciplinary action.
