Assist the CLLO in the coordinating and managing the functions of the CLLO Office through the provision of leadership, expert advice, training and support on Cabinet, Parliamentary and Executive Council procedures and processes.


  • Review and critically evaluate submissions and briefing notes to ensure quality, relevance and appropriateness and that such documents have been developed in accordance with government guidelines.
  • Assist the CLLO through the provision of high level specialist support services in relation to ensuring the timely and accurate coordination and management of all aspects of the Attorney-General's Cabinet/Cabinet Budget Review Committee (CBRC) and Youth Justice Cabinet Committee/Regional Community Forums business including briefing notes and other documentation, as follows: o printing and preparation of weekly eCabinet Bag on the Trim Cabinet Information System (TCIS) for the Minister, Director-General and senior management to ensure they are sufficiently prepared and briefed.
- concurrently manage DJAG's Cabinet/CBRC and Youth Justice Cabinet Committee business on TCIS; internal forward plans and all submissions/correspondence which are required to be managed in a secure manner on the departmental management e-filing system - eDOCS; and
- attend Ministerial office and departmental meetings in relation to Cabinet/CBRC/Youth Justice Cabinet Committee and Regional Community Forums business, as required.

  • Provide an advisory and quality control service to Ministerial staff and departmental officers in relation to the preparation of Cabinet/CBRC/Youth Justice Cabinet Committee and Regional Community Forums documentation/correspondence to ensure compliance with the Governing Queensland Suite, particularly the Cabinet and Executive Council Handbooks and relevant departmental and government wide guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist with the management and coordination of the legislation program for the Justice portfolio; including the management and coordination of the expiry of subordinate legislation made under the Statutory Instruments Act 199
  • Ensure the timely and accurate coordination of proactive release of Cabinet business;
  • Assist the CLLO to ensure that an effective relationship and interface is maintained between the Executive Services Branch, the Offices of the Attorney-General and the Director-General, departmental directorates, Cabinet Secretariat, Department of the Premier and Cabinet and other departments and agencies with respect to matters relating Cabinet/CBRC/ Youth Justice Cabinet Committee and Regional Community Forums.
  • Management and coordination of the weekly Crown Law Verifications for the wholeofGovernment on behalf of the Attorney-General as the legal advisor to the Premier and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Ensure the secure storage, handling and dissemination of Cabinet and Parliamentary documentations within the Department, in compliance with the Governing Queensland Suite, particularly the Cabinet and Executive Council Handbooks and relevant guidelines.
  • Participate as an active member of the Cabinet Services team and the Executive Services Branch by contributing ideas and supporting other team members, particularly developing strong relationships with the CLLO network across government and information sharing to ensure the government priorities are administered in a timely, effective and wellinformed manner.
